Clément Bindzi - Artist

Today, let's talk to Clément, who graduated from ESCE in 2014.

Hello Clément, can you tell us about your career?

My name is Clément Bindzi, I am 28 years old and I graduated from ESCE in 2014.

As a member of the Franco-German programme, I studied in Berlin for 2 years where I obtained a Bachelor's degree (B.A) in international management with a specialization in marketing. I wrote a thesis (in German) on : "The influence of music on purchasing behaviour".

Back in France for my 5th year, I obtained a master's degree in international marketing with a thesis topic: "Streaming, flavour of the music industry or speculative bubble".

Today I have 2 "hats" (I always hated this expression, but hey):

1) Head of the "Music Production" department at Warner Chappell Music France.

I represent a catalogue of a little more than 200,000 titles. These tracks have been specially composed to be put on images (synchronized), so my goal is to put them on TV shows, commercials, corporate films, feature films, documentaries, etc.

2) I am signed as an artist (Author/Composer/Performer) on the Parisian label Roy Music with artists such as :

Talisco, Tom Leeb, The Toxic Avenger, Last Train, Antoine Chambe,

Bon Air or Baloji.

Why music?

Because I've been doing it since I was a kid. At the age of 3 I started playing the cello, at 5 the drums and since the age of 7 the classical guitar.  It was impossible for me to imagine a professional life without music. So I did everything I could to combine my studies with my passion.

What did ESCE give you?

Rigour, friends and an international vision. I'm sure you'll realise this very quickly. Whether it's through internships abroad, semesters abroad or even double degrees, ESCE means friends all over the world.
