Alice Rouget - Yoga teacher

ESCE Leads to everything

09.16.2021

Hello Alice, can you tell us about your background and what led you to yoga?

After graduating from ESCE (specialising in Supply Chain Management), I worked for 2 years in the automotive industry as a logistics project manager in 2 large French companies. I was able to experience daily stress, overwork, multitasking, the day glued to a screen, mental exhaustion...

That's how I discovered yoga because it allowed me to relax and let go of my intense work days.

After several years of practice which helped me to manage my periods of stress and change, I understood that there was a real need in the company.

At the end of my work contract, reflecting on both my professional and personal life, I decided to go to Thailand to train as a yoga teacher, in order to deepen my practice.

On my return, I wanted to share my passion for yoga and its benefits, so I embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure as a yoga teacher. Indeed, I wish to adapt yoga so that it is accessible to all, individuals and companies, in order to fight against stress, bad postures, burnout and all the contemporary ills linked to work, and contribute to the well-being of all. I want to bring the benefits of yoga to those who need it most, as I have done myself during periods of overwork.

Where can we find you?

On my website: https://www.acommeyoga.com/

During the confinement I offer online courses for individuals and professionals, do not hesitate to register ;)

What did ESCE bring to you during this course ?

ESCE gave me a taste for challenge and entrepreneurship. It also allowed me to change and adapt to very different environments thanks to the numerous exchanges and internships included in the curriculum. It allowed me to improve my English and today I have a good level, to be able to follow training courses all over the world and to teach in French and English. It also allowed me to build my network in France and abroad.

Any advice for Alumni?

Yoga tip in case of big stress to do anywhere and anytime:

Sit down and stop for a few moments. Slow down and breathe. Focus on your breathing. How does it feel?

Then place a hand on your belly. Inflate your belly and feel your hand rise with each inhalation, and draw in your belly with each exhalation.

Take several deep breaths like this and feel the tension ease and your mind become clearer.
